Paul Stephens is a worship leader and songwriter of Christian contemporary music. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Paul’s 100% original music is motivating and innovative worship that has continuously inspired people inside and outside his community. Paul attended Azusa Pacific University, where he led worship for three years and simultaneously achieved a degree in Commercial Music. Paul’s passion for music was joined by a strong desire to inspire the love of Christ and so he continued to sing and write, mixing traditional hymn styles with his original songs. After graduating in 2007, Paul went into full-time ministry at Faith Community Church in West Covina and has served for three years as Worship Leader under senior pastor Dr. Jim Reeve. On average, Paul ministers through music and worship alongside 10,000 people every weekend. Throughout his Faith career, Paul has performed with renowned worship leaders such as BeBe Winans and Israel Houghton. Recommended by his pastor, Paul was given the opportunity to minister on the globally-watched and revered Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). He has joined prominent ministers such as Dr. Paul Crouch, Joel and Victoria Osteen, Matt and Laurie Crouch, Phil Munsey and Arthur Blessitt, and is invited back several times a year to minister through music on the live program “Praise The Lord”.

2008 saw the release of Paul’s first album, Great King. Unbreakable followed two years later. The song “Shine” from Great King is performed in churches across Southern California. “Shine” was also featured prominently during Billy Graham’s Crusade at the Rose Bowl and was performed by a children’s choir during the Invitation. Paul was featured in Worship Leader magazine, declaring that “Stephens may be young, but his heart for worship is well beyond his years…The city of Angels has produced a young artist whose life has seen the shadows, and allowed him to pour out an album that brings light.” His current, fresh style is a complement to other Christian contemporaries such as Chris Tomlin and Steven Curtis Chapman. Similarly, Paul’s heartfelt lyrics and pure conviction are appealing to not just Christian audiences but to all listeners. Paul writes both his lyrics and his music, fusing together modern and classical worship styles to create something entirely his own. His heart for worship is apparent on both his albums, which highlight his love for his Savior and a longing to lead the Church in worship. Paul Stephens is not only the front of the Christian youth, but the musical expression of a generation uniting to honor Christ.
